Bowl Queen

Meet Tommy Lynn Calhoun

Resident of Tucson & team member for Athlon Physical Therapy maintains a strong relationship to her community by volunteering with various local charities & outreach programs. With an unorthodox upbringing, Tommy Lynn has overcome adversity from being an abused & forgotten child, to later being adopted into a loving family, her own version of the popular movie “The Blindside”, highlighting Michael Oher’s troubling childhood. She accredits her success and happiness to her peers and her community.

Tommy Lynn just recently represented Pima County as Miss Tucson USA at the Miss Arizona USA Pageant placing as a Top 5 Finalist as 2nd runner up for the state of Arizona.

She still continues motivational speaking with youth at risk in Tucson, Arizona by advocating to her peers that “You don’t have to be a product of your environment you can always strive & achieve more”. Her future aspirations involve being a contributing philanthropist & be part of a disaster relief team to help the greater good. She is fluent in Sign Language, due to her biological mother being deaf, a self-taught artist, avid line/swing dancer & fitness enthusiast.

Tommy Lynn may not have had the simplest of childhoods, but she accredits her difficulties into shaping her into the woman that she is. Her peers often recognize her as a go-getter, “Jane of all Trades”, and someone you can depend on. One of Tommy Lynn’s favorite quotes to reference is something her adopted father often reminds her during a time of difficulty or challenge; “Adapt, Improvise, Overcome”. She often encourages her peers with these words in hopes that they will stir a fire within them as they do in her.
